Ron and Mary were great examples for how to live life. Devoted to each other, they worked hard to create a loving environment for the family to thrive.
Dad's formative years were in war-torn London during the Blitz, and as an evacuee, he was sent to Wales to an unfamiliar school and syllabus. Through tenacity, study and talent he rose to managing partner of an accounting firm. Despite his high pressure career, his time after work and at weekends was always dedicated to his family and beloved garden.
Mum was an Irish native, born and raised in Cork, her family moved to London when she was around 12. A gifted, competitive, swimmer, fiercely loyal to her sister Eileen and protective of her younger brother Joe. She was the life and soul of the party, friends with everyone and the fount of all knowledge. A wonderful cook, who entertained lavishly for friends and family alike.
Married for over 50 years and completely devoted to each other, through good times and bad, a wonderful example of a marriage, love, and easy companionship. Together again may they rest in Heaven, side by side, for eternity.
